Microsoft Flight Simulator MSFS Quick INSTALLERS
Install in order below to a Perficad AI folder in your Community directory. (Problem identified where Windows Security thinks the file is a Virus – you will need to temporarily turn Windows Security off for 5-10 minutes whilst it downloads the files required. I’m still trying to fix this issue, but may not be possible)
TO SEE THE AI IN MSFS – YOU MUST SET THE AI OPTION TO “OFFLINE MODE” . SET AIRCRAFT GROUND DENSITY TO 0 IF USING THE SCHEDULES. OR IF YOU JUST WISH FOR FREE RANDOM STATIC RETRO AI AIRCRAFT, TURN UP THE DENSITY.
BASE MODELS: (INSTALL FIRST):
1. BOEING BASE MODELS INSTALLER
Classic FAIB Boeing 737, 747 and 767 into MSFS. Last update 17th May 2024. Downloads from FAIB.
2. AIA BASE MODELS INSTALLER (READ BELOW FIRST)
Classic AI Aardvark aircraft – includes the 727, 737, DC-9 and MD-80 / 90.
IMPORTANT – BEFORE INSTALLING AIA YOU MUST DOWNLOAD THIS FILE FROM AVSIM
PLEASE PLACE THE AIAFSX01.ZIP FILE INTO YOUR “PERFICAD AI\SIMOBJECTS\AIRPLANES” FOLDER CREATED BY INSTALLER NO.1 . DO NOT UNZIP IT. last updated 8th March 2024.
LIVERIES: (INSTALL SECOND):
Installs a selection of liveries for the AIA 727-100 and -200’s. Last update 8th April 2024. Downloads from MPAI4fs and Brian’s Retro AI.
4. FAIB 747-400 LIVERIES INSTALLER
Installs liveries needed for the 1996 Schedules package. Last update: 5th March 2024. Downloads from MPAI4fs and Brian’s Retro AI.
5. AIG 757-200 LIVERIES INSTALLER
Installs a selection of liveries for the AIG 757-200. IMPORTANT – BEFORE RUNNING THIS INSTALLER you must download AIG Boeing 757-200 FSX v3.zip from the Alpha India Group forum, and place it in your “Perficad AI” folder. DO NOT unzip it. Last update 8th April 2024.
6. FAIB 767 LIVERIES INSTALLER
Installs a selection of liveries for the FAIB 767-200 and -300’s. Last update 5th March 2024.
7. TFS 777-200 LIVERIES INSTALLER
Installs a selection of liveries for the TFS 777-200. IMPORTANT – BEFORE RUNNING THIS INSTALLER you must download TFS 777-200 Series for FSX v2.zip from the Alpha India Group forum, and place it in your “Perficad AI” folder. DO NOT unzip it. Last update 8th April 2024.
Installs a selection of liveries for the FSPXAI MD-11. IMPORTANT – BEFORE RUNNING THIS INSTALLER you must download fspxai_md11.zip from AVSIM, and place it in your “Perficad AI\Simobjects\Airplanes” folder. DO NOT unzip it. Last update 17th April 2024.
9. AIG DC-9 LIVERIES INSTALLER
Installs the AIG DC-9-10 and DC-9-30 with a selection of liveries. Last update 25th March 2024. Downloads from AIG/MPAI4fs and Brian’s Retro AI.
10. FAIB BETA LIVERIES INSTALLER
This installer provides the CFG files for ALL missing FAIB aircraft liveries. Last updated 28th March 2024.
NO Texture files download in this installer, the aircraft will be WHITE or PINK, however you can easily download and drag and drop the Texture folders from Mikey’s Retro FS Corner – Downloads for FSX and P3D AI Traffic (mpai4fs.com) and Brian’s Retro AI – Path & Pixel Pusher | Circa 1983 (brians-retro-ai.com)
DO NOT edit any CFG files, it is not required. Just unzip the textures.

This installer provides the CFG files for ALL missing AI Aardvark aircraft liveries. Last updated 28th March 2024.

TIME BUG noted in MSFS offline traffic – The time goes by your System Time, and not by the time chosen inside the simulator. If you want to see traffic at a different time of day, you will need to change the time of your PC and reload the flight. Please ask Microsoft to fix this!!!
FS9/P3D DAY / MSFS DAY
1 = 5
2 = 6
3 = 0
4 = 1
5 = 2
6 = 3
0 = 4
This can easily be corrected if desired by just replacing all the values in the Flightplans.txt file as per above
I also recommend to download the programme AIFlow, which also assists the aircraft to land – They also have AI Ground. Both are free.
OPTIONAL – But Recommended – Go to your MSFS Packages folder and then “Packages\Official\OneStore\fs-base-ai-traffic\scenery\world\traffic\trafficAircraft.bgl”
Rename the file trafficAircraft.bgl to trafficAircraft.off . This will prevent the default AI traffic from appearing, leaving you with purely Retro. (If you want to bring it back just rename it again to .bgl)

IF A FILE SAYS “UNABLE TO DOWNLOAD” PART WAY THROUGH INSTALLATION IT IS BECAUSE THE SPECIFIC LIVERY IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE ONLINE OR HAS MOVED WEB ADDRESS. JUST PRESS SKIP TO NEXT, AND THAT LIVERY WILL NOT APPEAR WHEN THE PACKAGE IS INSTALLED. YOU CAN TRY A NEW VERSION OF THE INSTALLER IN THE FUTURE OVER THE TOP TO UPDATE AND OBTAIN THE LIVERY.
THE SOURCE FILES ARE KEPT IN THE ROOT FOLDER OR THE SOURCE FOLDER. PLEASE VIEW EACH ZIP FILE TO VIEW INDIVIDUAL CREATORS / OWNERS COPYRIGHT INFORMATION.
BECAUSE THE FILES DOWNLOAD DATA FROM ONLINE YOU MAY NEED TO CLICK TO MANUALLY ALLOW IT THROUGH WINDOWS SECURITY.
